Levi’s San Diego Adventure

Levi was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer at the age of 2 years old. Shortly after this time, cancer cells were found to have disseminated into his spinal fluid. The family had been told by his medical team that Levi will not survive his cancer.  After learning of this diagnosis, it was important for Levi’s parents to be able to share experiences with him, as well as share Levi with their family. Levi has many family members in California that had not been able to meet him, due to treatments and the COVID-19 pandemic. His family considered these factors and decided to asked A Special Wish Chicago to grant them an adventure wish to San Diego, California. The hope was to give Levi the opportunity to meet his west coast family, and be able to experience and create lifelong memories for the entire family. Levi is also an avid animal lover. While out in California, Levi and his family were able to see his favorite animal, a tiger, at the San Diego Zoo. During this adventure wish, he was also able to hang out with Shamu at SeaWorld, and meet Princess Unikitty at Legoland.

Levi was able to see all of his favorite animals while he was at the San Diego Zoo. Here he is shown with his parents, grandparents, and uncle!

Greetings from Levi and family at Legoland!

Levi had the best time getting to meet some of his favorite Lego friends. So many smiles were seen from Levi during his adventure wish. His mom shared that his biggest thrill came from meeting the characters from Lego Unikitty.
