Dayanara’s Florida Beach Trip

Dayanara, or Nana, was 18 years old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 Germ Cell Cancer. Nana, now 19,  lives with her mom, dad, and seven siblings in Chicago. One of Nana’s favorite things to do is travel, especially when she gets the opportunity to do it with her whole family on one of their family road trips. Nana expressed that in the summer, she also loves to go to the Chicago lakefront beaches, but has never had the opportunity to spend time on an oceanfront beach. Because of that, Nana’s special wish was to go on a family road trip to Destin, Florida. Nana and her family began their stay in Destin on May 16th, 2022, and created memories of a lifetime. During her trip, Nana spent time on the beach, saw dolphins on a dolphin cruise, saw the Gulf from a helicopter’s view, and even had a parrot hangout on her head.
